The last day was fantastic. We met a brilliant band called MXL. They were all fantastic people and we all
had a super day. A big thanks to Dini for all the meals, maps, drinks and everything else she did for us. Also
thanks to everyone else we worked with over the week and we hope to see you all same time next year.

================================Showcall Showcase Review=================================

........At every Showcall, there's usually one
stand-out moment that gets you realy excited.
For me, this year, that came with
the apperance of the band Beardsmith. A
family ensemble, complete with ten-year-
old Gill on various instruments, and 13-year
-old Alice on keyboards and electric violin,
it all results in a brilliant sound. The no
doubt proud dad drives the unit well and just listening to Alice play the violin during
The devil Went Down to Georgia was worth
the journey alone. Quite brilliant......

===========================Bigfoot Events Showcase 2007===========================

This was another of the showcase events which was presented in a roomy live music venue, with bands and self-contained
acts being given their own pitches in the room, around which the bookers circulate.

Due to illness, the planned compere could not appear, so it was down to event stage manager Karl Drake to provide the
welcomes and the introductions.

This event could hardly have got off to a better start, as the first band up were Beardsmith.

This renowned family band, featuring two of the celebrated younger Beardsmith children, are like a modern day Partridge
family. The only difference is that this is dad and the kids, and what a band they are.

A completely live version of Bohemian Rhapsody takes some pulling off and surely this band must be attracting attention
from the higher echelons of our industry. The children are remarkable, with their mum, who teaches the kids at home
apparently, in close attendance as the band weaved their musical magic spell on this trade audience.
